When is the Best Time to Start Your Workout Program?

December 30th, 2009 Sue

The most important thing when it comes to body building is the workout though it does not really matter whether you decide to workout in the morning, evening or even in the afternoon. It is even better to work out at different times so as to enable an individual to become motivated. Most of the individuals ask the trainers about the best time to carry out the exercises and the truth is that the best time to carry out the exercises is not constant and is very different for every individual. The suitable time for the exercises is basically the time when one is fully awake because you ought to be active, energetic and focused during the workout.

When you wake up in the morning you will not be fully awake and not focused as it is expected. For the individuals who have problems of sleeping after the workouts it is better to workout in the morning or during the day to enable them to get the best or proper sleep for muscle growth when sleeping at night. Basically there is no set time when individuals are supposed to carry out their exercises, but during the day can be the best time though to some individuals, it is a very difficult task to workout in the middle of the day due to nutrition, sleep or even work. The training time should be based on an individual’s own schedule and plans.

For you to make the exercises worthwhile, you ought to be full of energy and for you to have this energy that is needed, you should not be fatigued at all times. There is no need or no meaning of carrying out a hard manual labour work for several hours a day and again go for the exercises. The best time for the workouts is basically wide in that, according to the health researchers, the fist six hours after waking up is not recommended for the workout since energy and nutrition will not be through an individual’s body at that time. Also twelve hours after waking up is not the best time for the workout because the bodies at this time start to fatigue and getting ready to sleep.

It is best and recommended to carry out the exercises at anytime between six to twelve hours after waking up though it all depends on the time that you go to bed and the time that you wake up. You should also program your schedule so as to carry out the exercises at the time that is suitable for you in order to get the positive effects. Several people who exercise frequently do so early in the day saying that it is easier to form the exercise habit by getting involved in morning exercise. It is also advantageous to practice in the morning because one can make his or her workout time by getting up earlier, it raises one’s heart beat rate and metabolism rates which helps in burning more calories early in the day and it also improves an individual’s mental acuity for hours among others.

D’s Halloween costume…

December 28th, 2009 Sue

So D is a pirate this year for Halloween! I’ve been sticking this hat on him for the last 2 weeks…trying to get him used to it. :)

This shot is almost 100% SOOC. I did up the exposure just a tiny bit…that was all! I loved the light and shadow. The light was sooo awesome tonight! This is my first Fall season with my D200 and I’m realizing that light is different at different times of the year…and so far, my favorite light is Fall light. Hands down. :)

*FYI – You can get this costume online at oldnavy.com for around $20. (I think that this pirate costume is only available on their website…it is not in stores.)

Net Neutrality is Here – Almost

Net Neutrality is Here - Almost

A number of sources (PC World, PC Magazine, V3, Mashable) have been covering the Obama Administration's announcement that it would work to establish net neutrality as government policy.

Mashable describes the camps for and against net neutrality:It wasn't that long ago when Net Neutrality was the hottest topic on the web. It's the principle that says that broadband and Internet service providers should treat all Internet traffic the same, regardless of its source.

On one side of the debate are Google(), Yahoo, and the major Internet giants that seek to prevent ISPs from controlling the web. On the other side are Comcast, AT&T, and other ISPs that believe they should have full control over what is streamed through their hardware. The FCC will hold a meeting on October 22 to discuss the policy.

Facebook Privacy and the Search Engines

Facebook wants more search engine traffic, according to Inc.com, and they want you to help them get it. How? By compromising your privacy….Bottomline: keep a sharp eye on your Facebook privacy permissions. They've already made some changes earlier this summer. You may be oversharing with more than your 492 closest friends and not realize it.Inc (and TechCrunch) think Facebook is going to continue to tinker with the pricvacy settings in order to allow more search engine traffic.

So pay attention….

Second Life's Linden Labs Faces a Class Action Suit

The Metaverse Journal reported earlier this month a class action law suit that's been filed against Linden Labs, the owner of Second Life.

The premise of the lawsuit is simple. People violate copyright and trademarks in Second Life on a regular basis. Linden Labs drags it feet on the issue – and makes money as a result.

Metaverse's article details the legal issues. And they correctly point out that the development of this case will be interesting to watch, and will have a profound impact on virtual worlds.
